How To Care For Your Jeans

If you are like most of us…You probably have a favorite pair of jeans or a dozen!  A pair that makes you feel good, look good or simply comfortable.  Some of us are so passionate about jeans that we are willing to pay hundreds of dollars regardless of how often we wear them.

“I wish I had invented blue jeans.  They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity – all I hope in my clothes.” ~ Yves Saint Laurent

So, with so much too loose, what is the best way to care for jeans?

3 Easy Steps

1 – Before wearing your new jeans.  Turn inside out and rinse in cold water and a little vinegar.  While rinsing will remove excess dye, the vinegar will set the dye preventing premature fading.

2 – Always wash jeans inside out and in cold water.  You may place jeans in dryer set at low heat as high heat may yield to shrinkage.  We recommend drying on low heat or hang to dry right side out.  DO NOT dry in direct sunlight as UV rays may cause fading.

3 – Dry Cleaning using GreenEarth process is most effective.  GreenEarth process which uses silicone base cleaning solution, not only cleans fabric but also preserves the dye ….prevents fading.

It is important to know that jeans may not need to be cleaned every time you wear them…In fact, most designers and manufacturers suggest wearing them multiple times and using your best judgment as to when your jeans should be cleaned.
